OBJECTIVE/CONTEXT
Digital privacy can be a tricky topic to discuss. While some tech companies are truly trying to protect their users, others are more talk than action. That makes it difficult to figure out which brands really care, and what’s at stake for users.
Anchored by a hero video that aired during the NFL’s 2022 conference championship games, WhatsApp launched its first U.S. marketing campaign with the aim of subtly seeding doubts about digital messaging privacy—and highlighting WhatsApp features that keep your conversations safe, like end-to-end encryption.
Because at the end of the day, personal messages should always stay between the sender and the recipient.
